Welcome to my Web site. To introduce myself and welcome you to enjoy my world of food, travel, gardening and sharing food experiences in the U.S. and around the world gives me great pleasure. After spending over 10 years traveling around the world with a great team sourcing unique tools, food products and serving pieces for Sur La Table I have the joy of now bringing everyone a wonderful new book. As I look back on my life, I believe my most cherished memories were created with my family and friends. The gatherings usually focused around a meal, not always a grand affair but often a perfect picnic on a mountain top.

Soup is one of the most universally appealing foods. From simple broth with a few accents to complex blends of seafood, meat, grains, and vegetables, soup serves as a versatile meal component that plays a role in virtually every cuisine worldwide. When menu planning, I recommend serving very few appetizers before a meal that starts with soup, since they are often rather filling.
Travel: 3 Wonderful Days in Napa Valley

We flew to Napa Valley and enjoyed the warm sunshine, great wine and good food. Upon our arrival we drove to Yountville to have lunch at a beautiful hotel/spa named Bardessono. Bardessono is a very modern hotel located in the downtown area of Yountville. The rooms have their own in massage tables in the room and some of the rooms have an outside shower. We enjoyed a simple lunch in their restaurant, Lucy.
